The Australian Trucking Association (ATA) has proudly announced the recipients of the 2025 National Trucking Industry Awards, recognizing outstanding contributions and achievements within the sector.
These awards highlight the dedication and excellence of individuals and organizations that drive the industry forward.

Mark Tobin of Followmont Transport was honored with the Outstanding Contribution to the Australian Trucking Industry award. With a career spanning several decades, Tobin has held various roles within Followmont, including mechanic, forklift operator, driver, CEO, and now Managing Director. Under his leadership, the company has expanded its services and demonstrated a strong commitment to community engagement and charitable initiatives.

The National Professional Driver of the Year award was presented to Brad Train from VE Group. With 27 years of experience holding a truck license, Train has maintained an impeccable safety record. His expertise in handling heavy traffic and oversize loads, coupled with thorough route planning and compliance with safety standards, sets a benchmark for professionalism in the industry.

Ann Lopez of Lopez Bros Transport received the National Trucking Industry Woman of the Year award. Her leadership and dedication have significantly contributed to the success of her family-owned business, and she serves as an inspiration for women in the trucking sector.

The National Trucking Industry Workforce Award was awarded to Border Crane Consultants, recognizing their efforts in workforce development and commitment to safety and excellence.

Jim Pearson Transport was honored with the TruckSafe John Kelly Memorial Award for their adherence to high safety standards and operational excellence.

Additionally, Kathy Williams AM received the Don Watson Memorial Award for her longstanding service and contributions to the trucking industry, including her tenure as Chair of the ATA and her advocacy for industry improvements.

These awards not only celebrate individual and organizational achievements but also underscore the importance of excellence, safety, and community engagement within the Australian trucking industry.
