AUSactive, Australia's leading body for the exercise and active health sector, has announced the launch of a new insurance product tailored specifically for fitness professionals.
This initiative, developed in collaboration with global insurance broker Marsh, aims to provide enhanced protection while offering lower premiums compared to existing market options.

The newly introduced Professional Plus membership package allows AUSactive Professional Members to access a strengthened, member-exclusive master insurance policy. Key benefits of this offering include:

  • Lower premiums relative to other market offerings.
  • A $20 million limit of indemnity, ensuring robust protection.
  • Simplified transition processes for members with existing insurance policies.
  • Coordinated renewal dates managed by AUSactive to prevent disruptions.
  • Access to risk management support, claims assistance, and insurance insights.
  • Price certainty for members opting for two-year AUSactive memberships.

Ken Griffin, Chief Executive Officer of AUSactive, emphasised the organisation's commitment to delivering tangible value to its members. He stated that the enhanced insurance offering allows members to focus on delivering excellence in health, fitness, and wellbeing, knowing they have stronger protection while also saving money.

The partnership with Marsh ensures that the coverage is specifically tailored to address the unique risks and responsibilities faced by exercise and active health professionals. Kirsten Mills, Marsh's Head of Affinity, highlighted that the collaboration aims to provide comprehensive protection, supporting AUSactive members with the confidence they need to focus on their vital work.

In addition to the Professional Plus offering, AUSactive Business Members will also have access to competitive insurance policies through this new partnership with Marsh. This development underscores AUSactive's dedication to understanding member needs, improving professional protection, and assisting members in saving money during challenging economic conditions.
